A picture must be processed differently, depending on what you intend to do with it. Certain settings are ideal for uploading the picture to a web site, while other settings are ideal for different tasks. UtilStudio Photo Resizer can be used to prepare one or more images for mostly anything. It allows you to create multiple sets of configurations, which you may use at any time, on different batches of photos.

The software's trial version is fully functional, which means that you can use all its functions, without restrictions, for a limited period of time. It works on Windows XP (SP3) and later versions, up to Windows 7, as well as various Server editions. You should also make sure that you have .NET Framework 4.0 installed on your computer.

Besides resizing your pictures, the application is capable of renaming the files, adding borders, watermarks, rotating or flipping the images and changing their color depth. You may create one or more panels, on the program's compact interface, and make different settings for each panel. The settings themselves can be made on a larger window, in different sections.

Each section of the settings window contains options for resizing, rotating, adding watermarks and performing other actions on your pictures. Most settings involve clicking check boxes, selecting different options from drop menus or filling in a series of input fields. The source and target folders can be selected on different pages, on the same window. Besides folders, on your hard drive, you can select other destinations as well. The software can send the processed images to a FTP sever, send them by email, copy the files to the clipboard or upload them to Facebook.

Each settings panel displays the selected target and a few options for accessing the source and target sections, on the configurations window. If one or more images are copied to the clipboard, you may click a Paste option, on one of the panels, to target the pictures. If your settings are complete, you just need to select the source files and the application will start processing them immediately.

Pros

You can use this application to resize your pictures, rename them, add watermarks, borders and more. The software allows you to create different sets of configurations, which you can apply at later dates, on different pictures. The processed images can be saved on the hard drive, copied to the clipboard, sent by email or uploaded to Facebook or a FTP server.

Cons

The possibility of viewing the targeted pictures and a button for starting a processing task would make the application more comfortable. With UtilStudio Photo Resizer, you can save valuable time, when processing a large number of pictures. Its straightforward functionality makes this task as easy as possible, even for novice users.
